Tours and rentals can be reserved at a number of locations in the region.  For Kayaking the most common launch sites are:  

• The Lewiston Public Boat Ramp
• The Youngstown Public Dock, 
• The Fort Niagara Boat Launch
• Widewaters Marina (Requires Prebooking and has a minimum number of participants)
• The North Tonawanda Botanical Gardens (Requires Prebooking and has a minimum number of participants)
• The Niagara and Sweeney Street Kayak Launch (Requires Prebooking and has a minimum number of participants)

PLEASE NOTE THE MEETING LOCATION,  WHICH WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU AFTER BOOKING.

Hikes can begin at a number of different locations in the region.  Some of the common start points are:

• The Lower Trail at Artpark
• The Devils Hole State Park
• The Whirlpool State Park
• The Great Gorge Railway Trail
• The Niagara Gorge Discovery Center and Trailhead
• Niagara Falls State Park

Bikes can be delivered to your hotel or AirBnB location throughout the region.  There is a two bike minimum for deliveries.  

Bikes can also be rented at the following sites in Lewiston, NY:

• Academy Park
• 4th and Center Street (Gallo Plaza)
• Niagara Crossings Hotel and Spa

ON THE WATER:

• Customers should be prepared to get wet.  Sandals, a swimsuit or other polyester clothing that dries quickly.  The Scouts have a saying..."cotton kills". 

• You will only get as wet as you like, from just a few drips off the paddle to stopping at Stella and jumping in to cool off!  It's up to you!

ON LAND: 

• Customers should wear sturdy shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather.  It can be cool in the shade, so layers are best on a cool day.

• All guides are outfitted with first aid kits, extra water and snacks. 

• Clients should bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and snacks (for longer itineraries).

• All equipment rentals come with all required safety equipment, helmets, life jackets, emergency whistles, etc.

• Dry bags are available to keep your things safe and dry while you are on the river.

• All guides are outfitted with first aid kits, extra water, and snacks.

• Your pet!  Feel free to bring along your pet providing they have experience on a kayak, bike or canoe before.  Niagara Outfitters makes no asurety of the animals safety.  It is the oewner's responsibility to keep the animal safe an secure while on board.

Besides the amazing and serene view of the river, wildlife!   Most people who spend any time on the river see at least a few of these while on the water.

BIRDS:    

• There are over 300 species of birds in the region including; robins, cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, woodpeckers, wrens, finches, Canada geese, purple martins, thrushes and gulls, lots of gulls!  You will almost for sure see a great blue herons and if you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of a bald eagle!

MAMMALS:  

• There are 35 species of mammals in the region including; squirrels, skunks and raccoons, as well as white-tailed deer, weasels, rabbits, red foxes, muskrats, and bank beavers.

REPTILES:  

• There are 14 spececies of reptiles in the region including, garter and milk snakes, frogs, toads and painted and snapping turtles.  

As much as we would like to take every call and tell you all the wonderful things this region has to offer (for those who have spoken to me, know what I'm talking about, it's a passion).  But these days, it is just not feasible.  With the poor service on the water and at the launches, calls and voicemails are easily missed.

 CANCELLATION POLICY:  

• >24 hours - 100% refund. 
• <24 hours - 100% credit or a 50% refund.

WEATHER POLICY:  

• We will make every attempt to go out, even in rain, however, lightning is a hard No Go.   

If the weather cancels your trip, you will receive a full credit to reschedule your tour.  If rescheduling is not an option, you can elect to get a 100% refund.

All of our reservations and private information collected is powered by Peek Travel Inc., a secure, online booking software system used all over the world. When booking a reservation Niagara Outfitters wants to ensure its customers that their private information is secure and never shared with an outside source.

ALL ACTIVITIES REQUIRE A WAIVER.  THE LINK WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU AFTER BOOKING, BUT CAN ALSO BE FOUND HERE.  PLEASE FILL IT OUT IN ADVANCE AS THERE IS LIMITED CELL PHONE  SERVICE AT THE RIVER!
