The most popular place to kayak is on the Lower Niagara River. Starting at the Lewiston Boat Ramp, paddle north with the current for 6 miles, which will take about 2 hours. Tours include a NYS Licensed Guide, coast guard approved life jacket, and an emergency whistle. Finish the tour in the quaint village of Youngstown, NY at The Youngstown Public Dock, or the Fort Niagara Boat Launch. Leave a car there, or hop on the Discover Niagara Shuttle back to Lewiston to pick up your car!

For novice or beginner kayakers, the Erie Canal is a fanastic place to learn. Schedule a lesson to learn about kayaking and build your confidence before jumping in the Niagara River. Launches in North Tonawanda require groups of 6 or more and must be booked in advance by calling us!
Stand Up Paddle Boards are also available. The best place for the SUP is the Youngstown Launch. The Lewiston Launch has a stronger current and is more suitable for seasoned vets.

Enjoy the great outdoors with a slow roll around Niagara Falls State Park, taking in all those negative ions!
There are so many great viewing areas, why not see them on a bike (~3 miles).
Or ride along the rim trail to Lewiston (~7 miles), or if you are really motivated, ride all the way to Youngstown (~12 miles).
Then pop your bike on
which will get you back to where you started.

There are lots of hiking options in the Niagara River Region, from the novice nature walk to a more strenuous hike to the gorgeous Whirlpool Rapids. There is a hike for all fitness levels and availabilities. The Rim trail is even handicapped accessible. Guided hiking tours start at $12 per person.
